Hi Tony, I wholeheartedly support you banning spammers and commercial postings. After opening a post that mentioned getting a quick collefe degree that was posted on this group, I had 3 spam emails today offering a 2 week online degree. The post that individual put on oleader soup group must have had a data mining worm attached. Opening from my browser allowed it to feed its clients into my email folder (avoid the spam email folder). I support draconian measures regarding spammers. Dr. Goebel, tta

What measures of torture do you suggest? I'm thinking along the lines

of the Inquisition.

I noticed last night that the private email I sent to the offending

spammer was returned as undeliverable because the poster's stated

email address was invalid, so yes this was a deliberate act.

Needless to say, the poster is now banned. Unfortunately, like herpes

and in-laws during the holidays, those types tend to return again and

again.

I fear that soon we will have to individually approve all posts. Not

really such a bad thing - but it takes a good deal more work, and I am

sometimes out of pocket for days at a time (weekends for example, as I

am an outdoor nut who loves to camp, fish, or just enjoy nature).
