Thanks so much for your post, Janna - and I can so relate to what you

have said about trying to do everything at once.

When I first began to research alternative and natural cancer

treatments and remedies I was literally overwhelmed with all of the

choices. Even when you remove the questionable ones, you are still

left with a myriad of choices and advice. The site you are probably

referring to is my friend Webster Kehr's Cancertutor site. It was one

of the first ones I looked at, and remains one of my favorites. But I

was rather overwhelmed with choices when I first found it.

I do not think that it is a good idea to try to dump multiple

treatments together (which is not the same as saying that it is not ok

to take multiple immune boosting and anti-cancer supplements, but even

so you should not have a virtual basketful). The more treatments and

protocols you combine, not only will you likely find it difficult or

impossible to know which treatment is or is not working, but you also

may be taking the chance that one or more of your protocols or

treatments may be cancelling each other out.

I think it is far better to choose your main cancer fighter, such as

an oleander based medicine, supplement or remedy and then to try to

modify your diet and lifestyle to as healthy as possible, and also add

perhaps a few other potent immune boosters and cancer fighters. That

essentially is what the product OPC does in one fell swoope: relying

mostly on oleander, but also adding the ABM mushroom (soon to be

replaced by the African " Cancer Bush " Sutherlandia Frutescans), Cat's

Claw and Pau D'Arco.

Some things are so common in anti-cancer protocols and so generally

agreed upon as beneficial that they should be incorporated into just

about any anti-cancer plan unless specifically forbidden by the

protocol you choose. A diet that consists of mostly, if not

exclusively, of fresh fruits and vegetables has been proven in

protocol after protocol. An alternative is the Budwig diet.

De-toxing and cleansing to rid the body of toxins and harmful wastes

is essential for ridding the body of cancer causing and cancer

supporting problems as well as to make the body more receptive to the

good foods and supplements you introduce.

Maintaining an alkaline pH is also vital I believe, because cancer

cannot tolerate an alkaline pH environment. It should be noted that

fruits and vegetables are about the only foods that help give the body

an alkaline pH. Virtually all other foods cause an acidic pH, which

cancer likes, and that includes meats, dairy products and grains - all

of which should be avoided when fighting cancer. The same is true for

an oxygen rich environment (cancer hates it), which makes taking

anti-oxidants and oxygen providing supplements important.

Iodine and potassium have both been proven to be important to

incorporate in a cancer fighting regimen. Sea Kelp is a good source

of iodine. Otherwise you may wish to supplement for iodine, as most

other good sources are not recommended foods when you are fighting

cancer. There are many good sources of potassium, including bananas,

apple cider vinegar, dark grapes and pomegranate juice. The same is

true for vitamin D - plenty of which can be provided by sunshine.

Avoid processed foods and inorganic fruits and vegetables. Speaking of

vegetables - many protocols will tell you that diet alone can provide

the nutrients you need to defeat cancer and boost your immune system.

I do not agree. Perhaps that may have been true 80 years ago, before

our soils were depleted and so many artificial fertilizers and

chemical contaminants were introduced that so many harmful chemicals

and carcinogens were introduced that were beyond what our immune

systems were designed for. Today, the nutrition in our foods is a

mere shadow of what it once was, and the cancer causing agents are so

many and so potent that I think you need the boost of supplements like

oleander.

Finally, pure water, fresh air and exercise should all be incorporated

as well.

I too live in the south, Janna. We may have a shortage of natural

practitioners and organics compared to other regions - but they can be

found. We do have plenty of sunshine. And we have the final bonus of

being the region most suited for and abundant in oleander!

Thanks again for your post. I hope that this forum proves a blessing

for you and many others as well.

Live long, live healthy, live happy!
