Guest guest
Does anybody know whether or not a " c reactive protein test " is the same thing as a " chorionic gonadotrophic hormone " test. I recommended to a friend of mine the latter, his doctor agreed to do it, but scheduled the " c reactive protein test " . The cgh would show him whether he has any cancer anywhere, since he is a male. I'm not sure what the c reactive protein test shows. Guest guest
Hi Ed- The two tests are not the same thing. C reactive protein is a marker for system wide inflammation, which is a significant risk factor for heart disease. As far as I know it isn’t directly related to cancer.
