Dear M Al <firdaws_alala,

Thank you for this opportunity for me to learn that Muslim children are

taught to care for those in need just like I was taught as a Christian

child. As an adult, I wonder where the compassion is for the over 100,000

innocent children, women and men that have been eliminated in Iraq not at

the hands of a natural disaster but with the American taxpayers funding.

Thank you,

Dr. Sandra Lance, D.C.

M Al <firdaws_alala>

~*Tsunami Islamic Relief*~

As Salamu Alikum wa rhamatu Allahi wa baraktuh..

My dear Muslims,

As we are sitting here in front of the computer screen, people around Asia

are picking up bodies which have been reported to be clogging streets and

rivers, others are searching for their relatives and loved ones, others are

looking for place to stay, and take shelter after their homes were destroyed

as the result of the devastating Tsunami storm, and thousands others are

helplessly searching for food to eat, and water to drink.

According to " The Australian " the the official death toll by 30 December

reached 86,000 in 10 countries.

The breakdown of the deathtoll (when the toll was 80,000) is as follows:

Over 45,268 killed in Indonesia

Over 22,493 killed in Sri Lanka

Over 6,974 killed in India

Over 1,829 killled in Thailand

100 killed as far away as Somalia in East Africa

90 killed in Myanmar

65 killed in Malaysia

55 killed in the Maldives

10 killed as far away as Tanzania in East Africa

3 killed in Seychelles

2 killed in Bangladesh

1 killed as far away as Kenya in East Africa

According to William Carre of French group Pompiers Sans Frontieres (Firemen

Without Borders) the widespread of decaying bodies " will provoke disease

like cholera, diarrhoea and typhoid if we don't act rapidly. The fact that

we're dealing with salty water is another source of worry, of course,

because you cannot drink it, " [The Australian, 31 December 2004]

Thus, as a Muslim, and humanbeing, we are under obligation to help those in

need, with whatever we have, no matter how little it is. If you are in the

countries where Tsunami struk, then get up and volunteer to help your fellow

human beings

You do this while remembering:

{{.and whoso saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life

of all mankind.}} [Quran, surat al-Maidah(5): 32]

{{He that doeth good shall have ten times as much to his credit}} [Quran,

surat al-Anfal(6): 160]

{{ The parable of those who spend their substance in the way of God is that

of a grain of corn: it grows seven ears, and each ear Has a hundred grains.

God gives manifold increase to whom He pleases: And God cares for all and He

knows all things.}} [Quran, surat Al-baqara (2): 261]

Where can I donate?
