Dear Friends and Students of Ayurveda:

 

The weekend after next will mark the next sequential course in the Ayurveda

Practitioner Program, and the very first course given in our spacious and

beautiful new accomodations. I welcome you all and and am very pleased to " show

you around " our new home.

December 10th, 11th & 12th (Friday through Sunday)

Fri: 6-9pm; Saturday & Sunday, 12 -6pm

PRINCIPLES OF AYURVEDIC AROMATHERAPY (Lecturer: Dr. Indrani Maitty)

 

This is an introductory-level course in Ayurvedic Aromatherapy for persons

without a background in that area. This course is intended to introduce the

Ayurvedic student (and others interested) to the fundamental concepts of the use

of essential oils in Ayurvedic practice, and to impart a basic comprehension of

its applications to the issues of health maintenance, disease remediation and

rejuvenation.

The emphasis in this course will be on the use of essential oils in balancing

dysfunctional Doshas, in detoxification and rejuvenation, and on the

customization of Aromatherapeutic materials to suit individual client needs. In

addition to its being a required component of the Ayurvedic Practitioner

program, this intensive course will be of interest and usefulness to other

wellness practitioners.

Please note that this is a credit-bearing course in our Ayurvedic Practitioner

Program. NOTE: Registrants desiring practitioner program credit for this course

will be subject to a n examination. It is suggested that students register for

this program at their earliest opportunity. Please note tuition for this course

is $350.00, that a $100. deposit is required to reserve a guaranteed seat in

class.

Course instructor Dr. Indrani Maitty is a trained naturopathic practitioner and

consulting nutritionist and herbalist, as well as a former university instructor

in Chemistry. She is in addition a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner trained at

the International Ayurvedic Institute (Worcester, Mass.) Dr. Maitty's

specialized interests include rejuvenation and detoxification therapies,

aromatherapy, energetic medicine and the treatment of skin disorders. She

instructs courses in Ayurvedic Endocrinology, Energetic Medicine, Aromatherapy

and Ayurvedic Psychology & Counseling.
