Guest guest
Hi Judy, That was very smart of you to get off Lipitor. The side effects of those statin drugs are horrendos, including pemanent liver and kidney damage. Oatmeals, celeries, and grapefruits are certainly great for lowering LDL cholesterol. In general, high fiber vegetables are excellent. Sometime I put a few Tablespoons in my yogurt. The doctor had me on Lipitor awhile back. I started the leg cramps and he took me off right away. That is when I did my investigating and it seems to have helped alot.Judy
Guest guest
It is funny, I try to tell my doctor about the natural things I am doing and he really doesn't say much. I told him I cured my toenail fungus with Listerine, and he hardly blinked. The drug companies sure have them hoodwinked. He just put my husband on Bextra for a knee porblem. My husband asked how safe and any side effects. Doc said "no problem" ....just read in todays paper that it is on the questionable list of drugs not to take. My husband has agreed to quit taking it. Now if I can get him off "Extra" butter, mayo, tartar sauce and salad dressing, I may get somewhere. Judy - David C Hi Judy, That was very smart of you to get off Lipitor. Guest guest
Hi, I'm new. I've been reading for about a week on this list. Judy, the reason doctors don't know much about natural remedies is because they all have many pharmaceutical salesman visiting them every week, giving them a spiel and leaving them a load of samples of the new medications. That's how they practice. I worked for a doctor and saw this going on all the time.
