Guest guest
Re: Natural Remedies for GRD Thank you, Duncan and Carol, for your responses to my questions. I have passed the information on and will let you know what the results are... Interestingly this article came up today on Mercola.com: http://www.mercola.com/2004/nov/10/pneumonia_risks.htm and the woman I was asking about has had pneumonia every winter - she is a teacher, catches a cold (or viral infection) when they turn the heat on and it never seems to go away until she has a full-scale pneumonia...so this is an interesting connection. she also has transient arthritic symptoms and " leaky gut " type symptoms - all connected... My local herbalist recommended Primal Defense with HSOs as well, just passing that on. Are there some formulas of digestive enzymes that contain the glutamic acid or betain HCl? We have just been taking the NOW enzymes, and I am very happy with them but my friend is not - probably because of the hypochlorhydria.... Thanks again for all suggestions Lil

Lil ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Lil – are you sure the enzymes are “active” – do the pudding test to find out if they are actually doing anything. Stir a capsule in pudding, and if it doesn’t liquefy in a couple minutes, then it’s not doing anything inside you either.
