Guest guest
That sounds like yeast to me. Yeast loves certain carbs. Allergies may also set it off because the immune system which normally keeps the yeast in check is preoccupied with the food allergy so can't keep the candida under control. Yeast thrives in a body that has toxins of all sorts. I know I am allergic to wheat and it sends my candida symptoms soaring. Interestingly, this reaction might go away, so that when you eat wheat again days or weeks later you will get a different symptom which you might have not thought previously could be related to candida, but which most likely is. Candida is systemic. Dark field microscopy can actually see the critters moving in the blood (one-celled organisms). There is a good group called candidiasis at which can help you. I have a foot which seems to flare up when I consume wheat products. I had put myself on a wheat and dairy free diet to become healthier and lose weight. Recently I had introduced more wheat into my diet again and my left foot has flared up again, I had this in the past for no apparent reason, although when I was on my diet it wasn't a problem. It itches like crazy and is only the one foot. I mean I can rake a comb or brush across it or rub it furiously on the floor until it burns and it still itches. There are also tiny blisters which itch too. I don't think it is athletes foot as the meds for that don't seem to work and it does go away when I am on my diet. Has anyone ever heard of this? Perhaps I have a yeast overgrowth? Any input or similar experiences would be appreciated!Jamie
