Forgot something - greed has always been a problem in this society

(and every other one, too), but maybe it's never been this bad. We

Americans are so complacent, smugly sitting backing gloating over what

a great country we have, what a high standard of living we enjoy, and

all the while the big corporations are getting bigger and richer, and

they see that we don't show much sign that we care, so they just keep

going farther and farther with it. That's human nature. We will get

our government back only when we demand it.

 

And to all the people who say things like " America - love it or leave

it " , you need to understand one simple thing: our government is made

up of individual humans, very many of which are susceptible to the

pleasures that huge amounts of money can bring. That pleasure is so

great that way too many of them can put any sense of ethics and

doing-the-right thing out of their minds.

 

The United States of America is most definitely a great country, the

United States Constitution is one of the most Beautiful things humans

have come up with, but there is no natural law that will keep tyrants

from ruining our great nation.
