Guest guest
.. URGENT UPDATE ON H.R. 1170 Dear Supporter: The Child Medication Safety Act of 2003, or H.R. 1170, will prohibit school personnel from requiring a child to obtain a prescription for a controlled substance in schedule II under …the Controlled Substances Act…as a condition of attending school or receiving services. This means drugs like Ritalin, Cylert, Dexedrine. We would like to see it expanded to all psychiatric/psychotropic drugs. So far, there are 21 co-sponsors to this bill. In order for this bill to get more attention and move through Congress, it needs many more co-sponsors. If you have not already done so, PLEASE contact your Representative TODAY and ask them to co-sponsor H.R. 1170 and expand it to cover all psychiatric/psychotropic drugs. Please send this information to others who should also know about this. It is VITAL that we protect the rights of parents and children not to be coerced into taking psychiatric drugs. To get Phone Numbers, Fax Numbers and Emails of your member of Congress go to the Thomas legislative website http://thomas.loc.gov Thanks for your help.
