Guest guest Posted September 16, 2004 Report Share Posted September 16, 2004 I tried to find the medicine the doctor gave me years ago to clear up shingles. They sometimes used it for herpes, too. It is a large "horse" pill and I believe it was purple. I cannot remember its exact name and they may not make it anymore. I thought it was called something like Zorax. There are internet sites that sell newer meds for shingles that you can order without a prescription. Some are topical and others are pills. There are also some holistic health creams that claim they are 100% effective. I wonder if collodial silver can kill the shingle virus? Sue B.
