Guest guest
.. Apparently people are AGAIN receiving posts about a survey and a "pay for" premium service .... the same one that appeared in 2002. The below notice appeared on the VirusHoaxBusters group site, and the link has several pages that talk about possible "pay for" premium service. Note that this is information repeated from 2002. .. ================================================ .. Fri, 3 Sep 2004 06:22:30 -0700 (PDT) [virushoaxbusters] FYI: About the Old Y!G Survey Dear all,I need to apologize it seems, for my posting of yesterday about the Survey!! Since I am told in various groups now, that the survey is 2 years old ~Rolling Eyes~ which explains a few of the questions.QUOTE:There's a notice floating around, being posted to groups. It looks like someone discovered the old Y! Group survey and is spreading an "alert" about it. Most likely it's a silly mistake and, like the long-dead survey it mentions, complete BS.http://sweepstakes./groupspremiumsurvey2It's the same survey they did 2+ years ago... in 2002. Considering all the other changes between then and now, I doubt it's still current or relevant.UNQUOTE---------QUOTE:This URL was first published on this group (EL-M) in May 2002. 's plan for Premium Groups was to introduce it in the fall 2002. That plan never was implemented. The survey just never was closed.UNQUOTE =========== =========== .. .. Thank you for posting the information about the hoax -- or semi-hoax, as the survey itself was not a hoax at the time it was created, and it may still happen in the future. has slowly been whittling down functions such as searching the archives and changing some of the administrative functions. Guest guest
I read groups messages at the web site for the group - rather then delivered by email - and there has been a white envelope that is part of a banner inviting members to click on and take the survey....... It's one of those top banners that are rotation advertisments. thats how I became aware of it rather then any emails etc.
