Sugars ... What do you use?

Hi everyone. I'm happy we are having the Splenda "talk" because I'm battling a sugar problem right now ... which one to buy!!!

I just bought Dextrose ... awesome taste, not to sweet, and would be okay for baking instead of cane sugar but I'm looking for something a little more sweet and as close to "sugar" as I can find. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've heard Stevia is so sweet that you don't use anywhere near the amounts as refined sugar but have also heard 50 / 50 stories on the taste. Would love to hear what you guys like personally & why.

Thanks,

Julie

Hello,

We use stevia for tea, etc. but I don't use it for cooking. I love real organic maple syrup and I use organic evaporated cane sugar such a Rapadura. Also, we use real local honey. Honey that has no sugar added and no sugar fed to the bees.

I have warned and warned friends about chemical sweetners...most don't want to hear it. so sad...

You might want to try date sugar. I use brown sugar,

date sugar, maple syrup and molasses depending upon

what I need it for.

And for drinks I also use stevia and/or xylitol.
