Guest guest
I've heard that the Ionic Breeze air purifier by Sharper Image produces positive ions, has anyone heard the same and is that a bad thing?
Guest guest
I would like to know more about this topic. I want to get an air purifier, but I don't want to waste my money if they are not all that I hear they are. I am having my granddaughter here in the house in a few months and I thought it might be a good thing. Guest guest
Hi Judy: The Ionic Breeze looks really great on tv (quiet, easy to clean, etc.), but Consumer Reports put out an article rating air purifiers, and this one came in at lower-middle-of-the-road. Couple that with a $400 price tag, and it turns out to be not so great. Check out your library for the back issue of Consumer Reports to see which ones they rated tops - I can't remember. I have a smaller Honeywell and it's fair, but the replacement filters are impossible to find. ~Amber I would like to know more about this topic. Guest guest
Thanks Amber, I will do just that. When I see what my furnace filter looks like after two months, I know I should be doing something extra. When my first granddaughter was born, I went to stay with my older son in Delaware. Of course I helped out with the cleaning and such. Dust seemed to be everywhere, everyday. I mentioned to my daughter-in-law about changing the filter. She said she had been trying to get my son to do it for months-it actually was about a year. I immediately went to Home Depot and got a pack of three-the better quality and hounded my son to change them. I told him that his baby girl was breathing bad air-. He still minds his mother.LOL Judy - Stargazer Thursday, August 26, 2004 8:04 AM Re: air purifier Hi Judy: The Ionic Breeze looks really great on tv (quiet, easy to clean, etc.), but Consumer Reports put out an article rating air purifiers, and this one came in at lower-middle-of-the-road. Guest guest
As an ozone therapist, what I'd recommend as an air purifier is an ozone generator that is safe to use also for ozonating drinking water -- an extremely useful, healthy, and disease-reversing protocol. This type of ozone generator is available for example from SOTA instruments, a company that produces what is arguably the best unit for the purpose. http://sotainstruments.com Myself, I use an oxygen-fed medical-grade ozone machine from Dr. Pressman at http://www.plasmafire.com > > Living Air purifiers (Living Air Classic, Fresh Air, etc...) - We had > experienced, first-hand, the benefits of having one in our own home. </snip>
