Guest guest
Hi All - A dear friend of mine has a very bad varicose vein on her leg that developed a very dark - almost black- bruise on it recently for no apparent reason. She recently had traveled to the mountains - elevation about 9,000 feet. When she returned - the bruise became painful, then developed a lump near the bruising - and some shooting pains up and down the leg. Even some numbness and tingling in that leg. And strange - both big toes have partial bruising under the nails. She is concerned about possible blood clot and possible costly tests the doctor might recommend. Does anyone have recommendations as to natural remedies - anything else she should or should not be doing? Or should she immediately get herself to a physician? Thank you all for your responses! Guest guest
Ultrasound can show if there is deep thrombosis or not---but symptoms definitely sound like a need for medical attention. Hope she has a good one--preferably holistic. The potential is there for possibly heavy and harmful medication if in the hands of a pharma cartel practitioner.Cassandra Mason <sandyrupp2002 wrote: I'm so sorry about your friend. Guest guest
Hello Again - I wanted to give you an update on my friend. She ended up being Ok. She had phlebitis (not sure of the spelling). Apparently - the lumpiness was a calcium deposit formed because of some clogging up or coagulation at that bruised site. Her doctor said it could have even happened when she sat down. The pain was caused by the calcium deposit breaking up and being reabsorbed by the veins. He said that deep vein thrombosis is different. He said signs of that would include bad swelling of one leg (he said both legs at the same time would indicate some other problem), shortness of breath and chest pain. I am so relieved my friend is ok. Thank you for encouraging her to see her doctor. Once again, Cherokee, I am sorry about your friend. Very sad. Take care!
