Dear Friends and Valued Customers,

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an illness that has been diagnosed in more

than 400,000 people in this country. A cause has not been pinpointed,

but recent data suggest that common viruses may play a role. MS is an

autoimmune disease in which, for unknown reasons, the body’s immune

system begins to attack normal body tissue. In the case of MS, the body

attacks the cells that make myelin, an insulating layer that forms

around nerves.

MS is not contagious or fatal. In fact, according to a report I read

recently, the majority of people who have MS are gainfully employed and

have a life span expectancy of 50 years after onset. While they can

maintain a reasonable lifestyle, most MS patients experience fatigue,

one of the common characteristics of the disease. But there’s good

news. Researchers now believe acetyl L-carnitine can help overcome the

fatigue. Read on to find out about the latest research.

As always, I wish you the very best of health,

Lee Swanson

a drug that is often prescribed for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients

who are suffering from MS-related fatigue.
