Guest guest
Has anyone heard of these? A product named Ambrotose Mannatech - Products: Ambrotose AOâ„¢ has the sugers we are bodys are starving for. GlycoScience.org--The Nutrition Science Site: Home Page The Greek word "glyco" means "sweet". So "glyconutrient" means "sweet nutrient", or a dietary nutrient composed of a sugar. Recent scientific research has shown that eight simple dietary sugars (monosaccharides), most of which are no longer found in abundance in the standard modern diet, are now known to form the very words of life at the cellular level. These sugars combine with proteins and fats to create glycoforms that coat the surface of virtually every cell in the body. Glycoforms function as cellular recognition molecules that communicate the messages a body needs to function in health. Current scientific research has demonstrated that glyconutritionals can have a significant effect on health. This section is divided into three sub-sections to review recent research. The first: Introduction to Glyconutritionals consolidates the information found in the second and third sections. The Disease-Specific Reviews and Saccharide-Specific Reviews sections expand the information and apply it to more specific topics. Introduction to Glyconutritionals should be read first. GlycoScience.org--The Nutrition Science Site: Home Page a child born with downs syndrome was completely restored to a normal healthy child after 4 years of Mannatech - Products: Ambrotose AOâ„¢ since then many people with cancer, and numerous problems have been cured. It helps the body heal itself on a cellular level. Anyone tried one of these? Regards, DRehus
Guest guest
Is this a joke? The first clue that something is wrong is that this company has been around since 1995/6 or something, but it's Google ranking of 0 shows that it is a new site. Aside from that, there are clues all over the place that things are a little *off*. It's too late to go into detail, but I sure hope people aren't falling for this stuff. Have a blessed day! Guest guest
No, don’t bother – they chemically extract sugar from aloe. Aloe has 200+ active compounds, and they all are needed for the sugars in the aloe to work, including the enzymes. There are many articles written on the subject of whole aloe vs. extracted parts of the aloe. If it’s aloe you want, I would tend to go with the whole aloe instead of the mannatech product. You would be better off going with a blue green algae, which has a glycolipoprotein cell wall and is a whole food complex, as opposed to just pieces and extracts like mannatech products are. Those sugars may be essential to life, but not as single ingredients in the diet. Blood glucose levels are normally maintained within the relatively narrow range of 70-110 mg per 100 mL. That happens whether or not we get glucose in our diet, whether or not we eat at all. All sorts of things can be converted to glucose by our liver, including amino acids. In the Mannatech promo piece there are some striking contradictions. For one thing, they acknowledge we have the ability to synthesize these substances and then two sentences later they go and label them " essential " . Plus, they are not from a real, food source. Get yourself some real whole food nutrition that wasn’t put together in a lab by some scientist mixing stuff up in a cauldron. Guest guest
> A product named Ambrotose Mannatech - Products: Ambrotose AOâ„¢ has > the sugers we are bodys are starving for. I did a thorough study of glyconutrients last year (8 essential sugars) and eventually became a Mannatech distributor because of it. Since then however I found another product that makes a lot of sense. Body Balance from Life Force International is the juice of nine sea vegetables and aloe vera. It thus contains nutrition from land and sea, including glyconutrient components that are most likely to be missing from the diet, such as fucose, an important glyconutrient that is present in some the sea vegetables. It also contains fucoidans, polysaccharides that are very healing as acemannans are from the aloe vera. Importantly, and this is where Body Balance outperforms Mannatech products in my view, sea vegetables contain 70 or so trace minerals in the ratio we need, and altogether, it presents all the minerals, vitamins and phytonutrients in a balanced ionic liquid form that is readily assimilable by the cells. According to the PDR, liquid nutrients are up to 98% absorbed. It's interesting that a nutritional product can provoke a healing reaction, but this one often does. regards, Duncan Crow
Guest guest
Duncan and all, Have you or anyone else on this list ever compared RELIV nutritional products to either of these ....Mannatech or Body Balance? Has anyone here used RELIV? Guest guest
The problem with comparing different products is that for some you have no idea what's in them. Mannatech has proprietary ingredients so who knows what those are? You can get find a comparison for all supplements in a book called The Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements and I can't remember who wrote it. I can find it if you need it. Usana is rated number one and the second best you can only get from a doctor. RELIV has "normal" stuff like Usana does, but the amounts of each vitamin and mineral are not high enough for optimal health. People think that because it's a powder it is more bioavailable, but that is not so. You are correct to do your research as there is all kinds of junk out there. Good luck! Have a blessed day! Guest guest
Thank you for the information! This is a very interesting topic. I have been juicing wheatgrass for several years along with organic veggies, and fruits which have greatly improved my health. Energy, and immune system benefits are very apparent. This is something I will be looking into seriously. All the best, David
