Cardiomyopathy and Mercury ". . . In patients with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (IDCM), mean mercury (Hg) concentration was 22,000 times. . .higher than in controls. This significant increase in trace elements may affect mitochondrial activity and myocardial metabo-lism and worsen cellular function." The study was done at the Dept. of Cardiology, Catholic Univ., Rome. -- *Clinical Pearls News

Added note: I recall, years ago, reading dental research showing that an hour or so after replacing a Hg filling, the dentist’s blood contained an average of 70 times more Hg than before. This occurs even when s/he wears a mask, uses thorough irrigation. & high power evacuation..

MORE FACTS ON MERCURY from- The Townsend Letter: 1. Mercury (Hg) is the most toxic non-radioactive element on earth. 2. A silver colored Hg amalgam filling normally contains 52% Hg. 3. On average, an amalgam filling weighs 1 gram and contains ½ gram of Hg. 4. The typical adult carries ten amalgam fillings containing about 5 grams of Hg. 5. ½ gram of Hg in a ten acre lake would warrant issuance of a fish advisory for the lake. More and more health-centered dentists are - and have - turned away from putting Hg into people’s mouths. It’s the choice they make daily. In our practice, we stopped using this toxic material in '68.

Do you recommend getting mercury fillings removed? That would seem to

me to be something that would aggravate things, rather than make them

better. How to remove mercury fillings without the person absorbing

mercury? But perhaps you only advocate not putting in new ones. I had

a saliva test years ago which showed no mercury leakage from any of

my amalgam fillings.

It does appear idiotic, diabolical and criminal to me that dentists

ever thought it a good idea to put mercury into people's teeth!

But then, I am always suspicious of " specialists. " For instance, why

would a normal, healthy person decide to become a proctologist?
