Guest guest
Hi Mike, There is no right or wrong way. It all depends your reason for wishing to take the herbs. This will pretty much dictate how your going to take them, whether enema, bolus, caps, tincture, tea, syrup, elixer, extract, powdered, decocted, infused, poultice, etc. I am interested, however, as to your reason for the use of so many varied herbs. Kind of sounds like a shotgun effect to me. Just my opinion. HTH, Don Quai - Michael Rose herbal remedies Thursday, January 09, 2003 4:39 AM [herbal remedies] Tea vs powder herbs vs ticture I'm trying to find out the proper way to take different kinds of herbs. Specifically if they should be made into a tea or mixed with apple juice and drank. (I.e. like Doc's or Schulz's super food) I buy some of my herbs as cut /sifted and make teas out of them and then I buy some as powdered and I mix them with apple juice and swallow the whole mixture. Some of the herbs that I eat as powdered form are Rose hips, Fenugreek seed, astragalus's, milk thistle, dandelion and Echinacea. Some of the herbs that I make into tea are Chaparral, essiac and all roots. Can anybody tell me or point me to a web site that tells me if I doing this right? I spoke with Julia Chang yesterday and she said that if gold coin grass is in alcohol ticture form it will break apart gallstones and if made into a water based tea it will break apart kidney stones. Makes damn good sense to me so I thought I better check up and make sure that I'm doing the rest of my herbs correctly. Any comments.
