Many years ago, our 4 children received all the "required" vaccinations. At that time we didn't know any better, so to speak, but if had to do it over again, would not do it. We have had several dogs through the years, one in particular a poodle, who didn't receive any vaccines after the age of 6 because we were finding out from other people with dogs that certain vaccines were causing problems worse than the illnesses would have. Anyway, this little poodle lived to 19 years old, lived on rice, home cooked chicken and veggies, the last 6 years of his life. I know this is about children and vaccines, but I think it can be compared to the animal world as well. I am pleased to know that some of you mothers or potential mothers are looking into alternative health methods for immunization.

I would not give a vaccination to a dog I liked, let alone a person. I suppose there may be some use for them somewhere, but I have not been able to find it. None of my kids have any vaccinations & I will do anything to keep them that way. I was brain injured from a vaccination when I was little & have problems to this day. I am working on fixing the injuries though.

I've been doing some reading on the subject of vaccinations and I came

across an article saying that in Japan they don't vaccinate kids before

the age of two, which I guess takes into consideration the fact that at

three or four months, when babies here generally get their first

vaccinations, the immune system is still way too immature.

What are your opinions, those of you who are interested in this

subject, regarding the idea of waiting for vaccinations? Do you think

that the older the kid is, the better able he/she is to tolerate the

vaccines? Or do you feel that at no age should a child be subject to

that sort of treatment?

I'm thinking a lot about this for my own future children so I'm also

interested in hearing opinions.
