Skippy, this is one of the reasons I wrote the policy on sharing "first hand experiences only". You say, she says, "the drug has helped her a lot", and yet we can not question her here to really get the true picture. Gawd only knows what kind of shape she really is in. Yes, she should get off of it sometime in the future, but without questioning her directly how can anyone respond intelligently to your post and offer any truly helping advice???

Please do not post this second hand stuff again.

Re: [herbal remedies] Paxil Side Effects - Energy Zaps?

Hi There My Mom takes Paxil, and has complained of these energy zaps. What exactly are they, if anyone knows? Is it like a seizure? Does this mean she should get off of it, and that it is damaging her brain or something? She says the drug has helped her a lot. Thanks, Skippy

Yes, it is like the time you accidently touched a live wire and were shocked. If you re-read the article, it talks about "electrical zap". This "electrical" feeling is in the head.

Well, do you know in a general sense what "energy zaps to the brain" are, as listed in the article you have posted? Skippy "Dr. Ian Shillington" wrote:
