Guest guest
Hi Robin, Just on your mention of decaf coffee: Doc had advised me to get off caffeine as much as possible, so I switched to decaf. When Doc found out, he told me that decaf still has caffeine in it!! It's apparently another one of those pulling-the-wool-over-our-eyes kind of things. So I've now replaced it with an organic substitute "coffee" which has no coffee or caffeine in it at all. I have total reality on your living-on-the-edge-of-a-scream feeling. I've had the same and sometimes still do. Yes, you definitely don't want to go there! I agree. A good thing to do then is to go for a walk. Walk around the neighbourhood, and look at things - anything - and put your full attention on those things. After a while your attention is outward, and not inward! If I can't go for a walk - like when my kid is asleep in bed - then I walk around the house and do the same thing, until my attention is outward. If necessary, touch things while walking around. That really helps :-) love, Lisa - Robin herbal remedies Wednesday, January 01, 2003 2:19 AM Re: [herbal remedies] emotional problems Re: Maybe that's exactly where you need to go. Namasté, Chris Hi Chris! Been there, done that too! Its not something as simple as that. I wish it were! When your head is in an unreality, you can't trust your instincts. Its not a real place that you are at, it is a place that your head believes is real. You have to fight every perception that you have. It tires you out so much. Anyway, I would like to start to find solutions instead of trying to explain something which can't be really explained. Today I had my first cup of ginsing tea. I really liked it. I will replace my decaf coffee with ginsing tea. Its very mild and it has a nice flavor to it, and I looked at the ingredients and it was 100% ginsing root. Yum! I am happy with my new discovery and my first change in bad habits. - Robin - Chris Bartenbach herbal remedies Tuesday, December 31, 2002 5:02 AM Re: [herbal remedies] emotional problems I always describe this as feeling if you are "living on the edge of a scream". A definate dont-want-to-go-there place. Maybe that's exactly where you need to go. I am not sure I could do this because any stress (even good "having-fun" stress) can set me into motion. Just to keep from getting into any bad way, I go to work and go home. Thats it, and I am not exaggerating. I used to head a womans social group and I had a full social schedule and tons of friends. Things are so different now, and I have to keep low key at all times. I always describe this as feeling if you are "living on the edge of a scream". A definate dont-want-to-go-there place. Its the only way I can describe it. If I could have the URL I would definately appreciate looking into it. - Robin - tiredmamame <rprairie herbal remedies Monday, December 30, 2002 8:20 PM [herbal remedies] emotional problems I read Robins posts and understand exactally how she feels.
