From the time the moon is new until it is full (waxing) the moon is

growing...best time to plant new plants, start new projects,

etc...It is a time of beginnings and growth, emotionally and

physically.

Starting new tinctures is taking advantage of this force in nature.

Traditionally, Herbalists, farmers, etc have been using the moon's

energy since the beginning of time.

Some might see it as an old folks tale....but it is a time tested

method of creating tinctures and remedies. There is also nothing

that says that you CAN'T make your tinctures at any other time in a

pinch, it just adds a little extra 'umph' when started at the phase.

same reason farmers plant at certain phases of the moon.... plants

grow faster, better, etc... tinctures do better or stronger, i

assume.
