Guest guest
I am not so sure about this.. (no offense) I have ADD/ADHD but so do many other people in my family.. mostly the generation of kids after me, though with everything I have been reading, it seems to me many of the adults do as well. For this to be true, most of my family would have to be suffering from malnutrition. Now while in some cases this could be a factor. I am loath to say it is a major one, as my family has many good mothers and caretakers who feed thier children and most live in the country or small towns where environmental poisoning is not as large of a factor. Now I could see where this would be the case in my sense.. I was the unlucky one who got born to a lady who had no clue how to be a mother and I often went without food for several days at a time as a kid. But the generation below me does not have this problem at all. While I am not saying that I know the exact causes (I am a designer/writer not a scientist) I do believe with all I have seen and read that malnutrition cannot be that big of a factor in this. I also believe that to some extent it must be hereditary, as it is common in my family. Just thought I would share my thoughts on this being as I actually do have ADHD Hugs and Howls Ravenwolf Burke - Webmaster - Astral Eclypse! & The Astral Eclypse Banner Exchange ! Guest guest
Hi, When they say " malnutrition " , they don't mean starvation or lack of food. They mean lack of quality and nutrients in the food. For example, my son (6 years old) has some symptoms of ADHD, however since I have made adjustments to his food, he is showing signs of improvement. I have stopped giving him dairy products, red dye 40 and try as much as possible to reduce sugar intake. I have replaced those things with such items as Rice Milk, more fruits and vegetables (some organic), granola, etc. I was also under the impression that the so-called ADHD diagnosis was usually made to children around 6 years old. Maybe you have been misdiagnosed. Read through some of the previous posts for some good information. Take Care Gina
Guest guest
Were you all vaccinated? It's not that you are eating junk food, it's that the food you eat has been beaten beyond recognition. I am diagnosed as ADD but I am brain injured from a vaccine & have many of the symptoms. To some extent I know where you are coming from. -Shelby Ravenwolf [Damiana]Friday, December 13, 2002 8:14 AMherbal remedies Subject: [herbal remedies] ADD/ADHD - Malnutrition I am not so sure about this..
