Guest guest
Hi all.... I just got home from work. I worked a double today. Why?? Because everybody at work is sick. We have three people on second shift and two of them called out. Two more called out today during first shift, and one more went home sick. All had the same stomach bug: vomiting and diarrhea. As of yet, I haven't caught anything. I'm gonna pop some acidophilus tonight. Any other suggestions? I just got back to work from my latest asthma attack and I REALLY cannot afford to be sick right now. I'm sure my immune system has suffered so I'm almost guaranteed to be the next victim. Guest guest
Dear Kim, Hammer down on the garlic. Total Tonic (in the files) would do wonders as well. There's two reasons. #1. Garlic is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral. No self respecting bug will hang around in its presence especially if taken in large quantities. (8 to 12 cloves ;o) #2. Smelling of garlic, your coworkers won't want to get too close to you, and thusly pass along their germs LOL. Love, Doc PS. Some good high quality Echinacea wouldn't hurt either, as far as beefing up your immune system. Guest guest
I've been gradually increasing my garlic intake to reach the 8-12 clove mark, and I am not there yet. My hubby must like the smell though cause um.. well he is really friendly right now lol! Now I have to think of a way to get it into the children. Fruit juice do the trick Doc? Guest guest
One of the best ways to get garlic down is to cut the clove in half or in quarters, or even smaller for kids, dip it in organic olive oil and down it like a pill. If the kid in question doesn't do pills very well, then you'll need to get even more creative. Chocolate covered garlic. Nowwww, I wonder - LOL.
