Guest guest
Hi Doc, I wonder you can help me. This has been puzzlying me. I read on the internet that sage is good for reducing blood sugar & so it is good for diabetics. Is this true as my friend read it in a medical book & said that sage is bad for diabetics? Thanks. ><herbal remedies > > " Dr. Ian Shillington " <Dr.IanShillington >Tue, 19 Nov 2002 15:40:48 -0700 >Re: [herbal remedies] Re: Best herb books >herbal remedies > ____ Get Paid... Guest guest
Dear ST, Welllllllll, this is a new one on me. I've never heard that Sage is good for reducing blood sugar and for helping diabetics, nor have I heard that it is contraindicated. ??? Sage has many applications, but its primary use is as a diaphoretic (makes you sweat). That it also has contributing factors to helping the liver is also well known. It would seem to me that anything that helps the liver would be useful to diabetics, but I've never heard of Sage being used for such. There are much better herbs for helping diabetics. Astragalus for one ;o) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - S T herbal remedies Wednesday, November 20, 2002 11:13 AM Re: [herbal remedies] Re: Best herb books Hi Doc, I wonder you can help me.
