Guest guest
Oh Kim I am so sorry to hear about your dreadful experience with your Asthma and at ER . Asthma has to be one of the scariest diseases to try and cope with. My daughter, who is 29, has had it since birth. I spent many nights rushing her to hospital and praying all the while she would just keep breathing. And I know what you mean by what it does to your face. My daughter once had people ask her who beat her up, and she was 9 years old at the time - eyes swollen almost shut, face swollen and lumpy, broken blood vessels, lips cracked from swelling - and that was AFTER our return from being in emergancy for 3 hours. I used to lie beside her at night and whisper "keep breathing, keep breathing" over and over again. I wish there was something to do to help you, other than send you an e-mailed hug. Guest guest
Don't know whether I should be saying this but thought this may be helpful to somebody: a friend of mine has two children, one boy and one girl and both of them had asthma when they were little. The boy took up swimming and martial arts in his teens and his asthma all but disappeared by the time he was 21. The girl never liked sports and never exercise and she is still reliant on her inhaler. She is very prone to an attack when she is emotional or anxious, and totally unable to do any exercise. My friend is convinced exercise was to key to the boy's recovery. I don't know whether exercise to rid oneself of asthma only works when one is in his/her teens. I never had it when young and realised I had a problem when I was divorcing my ex- and was getting very emotional but it disappeared as soon as the dust was settled. So in a way I am still interested in any remedies which may help eliminate the problem and glad to have a reminder that I am not immune - definitely exercise time for me! - Linda Stoodley herbal_remedies Monday, November 25, 2002 6:31 PM [herbal remedies] asthma attack Oh Kim I am so sorry to hear about your dreadful experience with your Asthma and at ER . Guest guest
Exercise and plenty of it. Especially outdoor exercise (fresh air). Extremely beneficial to anyone who is asthmatic. Living in smog covered cities does tend to make this much more difficult, however. But exercise works by forcing deep breathing and allowing for the expectoration of the mucus that is built up. Asthma exists because the body is filled up with waste matter and mucus. A good thorough body cleanse to get out the waste material and mucus will eliminate the asthma. Do not eat dead food. Do not eat devitalized over processed food. Eat only fresh fruits and vegetables and get plenty of exercise and fresh air 24/7. Build up the body system with tonic herbs such as mullein, chickweed, comfrey, marshmallow, etc. Don Quai > " aldousanna " <aldousanna >herbal remedies ><herbal remedies > >Re: [herbal remedies] asthma attack >Mon, 25 Nov 2002 22:58:11 -0000 > >MessageDon't know whether I should be saying this but thought this may be >helpful to somebody: a friend of mine has two children, one boy and one >girl and both of them had asthma when they were little.
