Guest guest
Well, I had a doozie of an asthma attack Sunday Morning. I fell asleep on the couch because my daughter was sleeping in my bedroom. I woke up and reached over for my inhaler and it wasn't there. I panicked. I made my way up the steps to get to my nebulizer, but didn't even make it as far as the bedroom. Things were going downhill fast. I managed to yell out for my daughter...thank god she heard me. Next thing I knew, I was in an ambulance arriving at the hospital to hear them saying... " she was almost biting plastic " I CAN FREAKIN' HEAR YOU.... I did not even go to sleep last night for fear of waking up in the same predicament. My face and neck has broken blood vessels everywhere. I look like I'm wearing make up. My asthma is so out of control I don't know what to do about it anymore. It was so nice out yesterday and I had to keep my poor daughter in because I was afraid to be alone. I've got needle holes and welts all over my arms and hands. The paramedic had to stick me twice...the one they did get in was apparently no good. The nurse at the hospital had to stick me three times..I got a large painful hematoma on my wrist which she tried to cover up with mounds of tape...of which I'm allergic to (the adhesive that is) I basically look like I've been hit by a truck. Of all the hospitals in my area...all the universities and such. They had to take me to the worst, awful place. At one point I needed to go to the bathroom...naturally I did not have shoes with me. I woulda just as soon walked in Mc Donalds bathroom without shoes on. And after this whole ordeal, only three hours later they tell me to go home. I call my doctor. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY SENT YOU HOME. And he tried to talk me into going to the er at another hospital. But I didn't, so here I am after being up all night. Sorry to babble on like this. I'm now trying to stay awake to make sure my daughter gets up on time for school. Well, I probably won't be in work for the rest of the week either..so you can look forward to hearing from me more often this week, lol. Guest guest
Oh, Kim, I feel for you. I have Asthma too, and I really understand. I have often said that I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Once when I was at the emergency room, my son said that I looked like my dead uncle whom we had recently buried. I don't know why, but my feelings were hurt. - " sirona71 " <kims83 <herbal remedies > Monday, November 25, 2002 6:38 AM [herbal remedies] Asthma Attack > Well, I had a doozie of an asthma attack Sunday Morning. Guest guest
I know what ya mean by not wishing this on your worst enemy. It gets downright depressing doesn't it?? Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any natural remedy. 3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physician and toprescribe for your own health. We are not medical doctors although MDs are welcome to post here as long as they behave themselves.
