Guest guest
Hi all! I've just made a batch of total tonic, and would like to use it right away. How much can one take, and which way is best? I'm thinking about a quater teaspoon mixed in a glass of water. Am I way off? I use a dropper to get the tonic out and put into small glass. Suzi becklesfield <becklesfield wrote: As far as I'm aware my teaspoons are all stainless steel. Guest guest
No Becky, you are not being stupid. Throw out what you made. It should not be green or greenish blue. This is the usual result of what happens if you use a "silver" spoon to stir it with. There could also have been something else in your blender when you were originally mixing it together. Make sure you use enough high quality Organic ACV when making it, and you should not have this problem. I made up my Total Tonic two weeks ago, and it's now green!!! Should I have been keeping this in the fridge? I did ask this question before but no-one said yes, so I didn't bother, but it's no longer a lemony yellow but rather a very dangerous looking greeny colour I can easily make up some more, but I was under the impression that the vinegar would preserve it. That's no doubt me being really stupid! Becky
Guest guest
Absolutely!!!!! That's what did it. Do not use that TT. Throw it out. Guest guest
Nooooooooooooooppppppe! I bet I screwed up making my tonic too. I'm glad someone mentioned it. I poured mine from the blender, into my jars, but it's definetly green. What color should it be? Also. aren't you suppose to use 100 proof vodka to make the tinctures? Kathe
Guest guest
It's best if you don't refridgerate it, as it will tincture faster. Just make sure you don't let it sit in the sun. A cool dark place like a cupboard is fine. Just remember to shake it at least once a day. I quess I shouldn't do more than 1 thing at a time! O.K. I went back to the files, and instead of being in a hurry, I actually paid attention to what the recipe said. Now, I assume that after you make the mash, you stick it in the frig or just put it away in the dark? You say after 2 wks. you can tincture it. At that point, do you just strain it and put into bottles? Thanks, Kathe

Guest guest
Fresh is always best. I keep ours in the fridge, but only because it is easier to take cold. For maintanance, we take one dropperfull three times a day. Lately, I've been taking three droppers three times a day, because of swollen glands in my throat. It is taking care of it much faster than any perscription! JohnLeah <edwardsera wrote: How much total tonic do you make at a time? Guest guest
Lynn, What I do is after I press the TT, I store it in ACV jars that I have. I keep them in the fridge just because I prefer it cold. I went to Walmart and purchased a small doser that's used to give liquids to children. It's like a test tube with a spoon on the end. It's graduated so I always know what I'm taking. Seems like it was around $1 or so. Makes it easy to remember dosages! I usually take 3-5ml several times a day. More if I think I've been around someone with the flying (as opposed to crawling) crud. Skip On 12 Dec 2003 at 23:22, pearlmoon wrote: > > Suzie > > Thanks so much for the information.
