Guest guest
Michael, I'll try to find that book. As for the astralagus, I know I've read it's good for immune system and I think they were taking it in capsule form. It came from a hepatitis list I'm on. I never thought about buying the powered form until after I already bought it. Thanks for the reply. Karen
Guest guest
Doc, Thanks for the Tiger Piss recipe. I love the black strap molasses but I realize it might be a bad long term option. I never thought about the iron overload until everyone kept mentioning the iron in it. My iron levels are normal and I avoid even cooking in cast iron. I have no liver damage as of last biopsy in 2000. I tried traditional tx and it almost killed me, dropped my hemoglobin to 7.0 in about 3 weeks. Anyway I quit it after several months and have been trying to get myself back to healthy ever since. They say the interferon helps to slow down progression of fibrosis so I hope it did that much at least. Do you have any suggestions for me to raise my immunity and to raise natural interferon levels. I think astralagus is a good one I've heard of using. I also use antioxidants but don't know the herbal equivilants. In the meantime I'll try and get the book Michael mentioned. Thanks for the advice, Karen
Guest guest
Dear Karen, Without having all your data, I would still suggest the following. Plant Enzymes with each meal. 100 Mg. CoQ10 1200 IU Vit. E ***2 dropperfuls 3x's daily of a high potency Echinacea Formula. (Ya gotta break from this once in a while = one week on and one week off). 2 dropperfuls 3x's daily of my Total Tonic Recipe in the files. Last but not least is my Dragon Snot Recipe in the files. This has a balanced amount of Astragalus in it which will help to build the immune system. Love, Doc *** Echinacea is one of those herbs you have to take a break from once in a while. You wouldn't keep turning on the ignition once your car has started or you'd burn out your starter, and the same goes with your immune system and Echinacea. Astragalus builds your immune system - Echinacea fires it up into overdrive. ;o) Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Karen Smith herbal remedies Saturday, November 09, 2002 5:03 PM Re: [herbal remedies] Digest Number 1704 Doc,Thanks for the Tiger Piss recipe.
