Guest guest
I had my cholesterol checked and the doctor said mine was too low and that it made me a candidate for a heart attack (>50 total.) He said the only thing to help it was exercise. What do the nice folks on this forum have to say about this? Maureen
Guest guest
I have a theory about cholesterol, and I may be totally wrong, but the liver produces cholesterol for the body. I'm thinking that if the liver is dysfunctional, that is what needs straightened out. Guest guest
Hi Janet, You are quite right in your theory about cholesterol. It is produced by the liver. It is gotten rid of, as in taken out of the body, through the bile that leaves the liver via the hepatic duct to the gall bladder and into the intestines where it becomes a part of the feces and is eliminated through defecation. If for any reason the bile duct gets plugged and can no longer dump bile into the intestines, due to gall stones or whatever, then the cholesterol will build up in the body. Also if the liver goes haywire and produces too much cholesterol or more than can be gotten rid of by the bile system. Either way a good liver cleanse and gallbladder cleanse will assist in opening ducts back up and normalizing the function of the liver. It would be a great place to start anyway. Guest guest
There's not necessarily any herbs to avoid, but foods are another question. Stay away from a lot of animal fats. Get your fat from UDO's Oil and do it in small quantities.
