Guest guest
Sounds delicious and very workable. This I gotta try, but I think I'll do it as a decoction rather than an infusion as you suggest. ;o) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - pearlmoon herbal remedies Saturday, November 09, 2002 9:50 AM [herbal remedies] Cold & Flu Tea I thought some of you might be able to use this recipe since the season isupon us. Guest guest
An infusion is used mostly where leaves or flowers of herbs are concerned, and you put the herb in a pot, and pour the boiling water over it and let it sit (steep) for however long you want. A decoction is used mostly with roots or harder parts of herbs, and one usually soaks the herb in the distilled water for a period of time before heat is added. One brings the mixture to a boil, and then lets it simmer for an amount of time to extract all the biochemical ingredients.
