Hi. I joined this group because after trying just

about every pharmaceutical on the planet for my

migraines, stress headaches, carpal tunnel and

neck muscle pain, I'm now on herbal/vitamin

treatment. Not under a doctor's advice, just

trying stuff that I've heard works.

However, lately I have been feeling kind of numb

(especially in my head, hands and lips), and am

also slightly dizzy. What could be the culprit?

Here is what I am taking on a daily basis:

Migra-Daily (contains: Feverfew/White

Willow/Thiamin/Riboflavin/Calcium/Magnesium)

Gluclosomine Complex

Vitamin B6

Vitamin E

I did recently (within the past week) go OFF of

Zoloft. Could that be the problem? Even though I

have no signs of depression whatsoever, my Dr.

prescribed it for me, thinking it might help with

my headaches. After three months, it didn't, so I

stopped it.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Also, someone told me that " Estren " is good to

take every night to help one sleep and wake

feeling refreshed. True?

Thank you,

Staci

I would put my money on an over growth of the bacteria known as Candida.

I had this for about 2 years. I don't know why it causes numbness but

the dizziness I believe is caused when Candida invades the lungs and

coats the bronchial tubes. This coating of yeast prevents the bronchial

tubes to working to full capacity reducing the amount of oxygen that in

available to the blood stream. I would assume that this same oxygen

shortage is responsible for the numbness in the extremities. I'm just

going to take a shot in the dark here and ask if you get especially

dizzy when you have been laying down and then get up? Reducing sugar in

your diet is key. Yeast feeds off of sugar but be aware. When yeast is

in the process of dying, at least in the human body, it gives off a

chemical that makes you crave sugar. This is done to try to ensure the

survival of the yeast. Also Zymex (as it is called from the makers of

Standard Process) will help eliminate excess yeast from your system. The

Allopathic community calls this " Chronic Fatigue Syndrome " and has no

cure. The most common cause if it is the over use of antibiotics and the

consumption of any sugar while on them. I hope this helps.

Staci,

Sounds like your system needs a good cleaning too. Check the files under Dr. Ian Shillington...intestinal cleanse.

Staci, I think you should call Doc on this one. The feverfew is the right

way to go with migraines, but you need to try and find the underlying cause.

How's your digestion? An intestinal cleanse might be just what you need.

Hi Stacy and welcome to the group,

We need more info from you concerning you.. What kind of diet do you have?

Do you exercise regularly? Do you eat meat? Junk food? Prepackaged and

processed foods? Do you eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables? Do you

smoke? Do you drink coffee, sodas, tea? Do you work around people who smoke?

My opinion is that you have a toxic body and need to cleanse it. You can

follow Suzi's suggestion and look in the files for the cleanses but I would

suggest you do a liver cleanse along with the bowel cleanse and the total

body cleanse. I would also suggest that you examine your diet and strongly

consider changing it to a more alkaline one. These are just my suggestions,

but most of the problems we have with our bodies stem from our diets.

Your problems are most likely coming from the Zoloft - do a research on the web... Zoloft has all kinds of wierd side effects when you quit taking it... including lightheadedness, etc.... I would bet as days go by and it gets out of your system you will start coming around....
