Guest guest
Sandy The healing qualities of some herbs like FEVERFEW can only be preserved by freeze drying. The problem with dried herbs is that storing them needs to be very careful and even then they tend to loose their healing qualities over a given period of time. To prove this to yourself, just go to your spice cabinet and smell a freshly opened bottle of something like thyme and open one that's been handing around for over a year....... smell the difference, then you will know. Hope this helps mjh In a message dated 10/28/02 7:24:31 PM Eastern Standard Time, herbal remedies writes: I have seen a lot of websites selling freeze dried herbs, they claim these are more potent. How much more potent are they, and is it worth it to take freeze dried? Thank you, Sandy

More potent than fresh, tinctures, powdered, wild crafted, raw? Then what herb are we talking about? What part of the plant is being used? What is it being used for?ie. tincture, tea. How much more potent? How much more does it cost? Michael
