Guest guest
We find great help with Butcher's Broom and Horse chestnut for this kind of swelling. We alternate their use. And, also, ginger helps to increase circulation as does hot peppers. mjh In a message dated 10/27/02 8:12:33 AM Eastern Standard Time, herbal remedies writes: Another problem I am having is a buildup of fluid in my right foot. About six months ago, I took a fall which seriously injured my knees. I used crutches for a while, and have since then used msm, glucosamine, and condroitin to build myself up. The knees have healed up, but my right foot keeps collecting fluids, making it painful to limp on it.
Guest guest
We deal with some serious chronic health issues here and do not use processed foods. However, we do maintain a larder and a freezer for those frequent times when food preparation is near impossible. 1. I make and freeze a number of healing broths that are very dense in things like garlic, onions, parsley, carrots, celery, thyme, oregano, ginger, nettles, dandelions, burdock and the like. This is easy to make. And, even easier to reheat than storebought packaged soup. 2. We make our own yoghurt. We eat it daily along with flaxseed oil and fresh ground flaxseed. I keep at least a gallon on hand at all times. This is easy to make and takes little time or personal energy. 3. I keep on hand canned beans like garbanzos and black beans. Easy to open a can, season with appropriate herbs, heat and eat. There's more, but hope this helps as a starter. mjh In a message dated 10/27/02 8:12:33 AM Eastern Standard Time, herbal remedies writes: My final difficulty is this. As I have so little energy, it seems like a major effort to eat healthy foods that require quite a bit of preparation. I know I need to get away from processed foods, but it is just so easy to stick some prepackaged soup in the microwave or to grab a sandwich with some prepackaged filling. Guest guest
I experience this also and found pharmaceuticals pretty useless but found some relief from significant doses of gingko biloba, kava kava, St. John's Wort, Siberian ginseng, Licorice root and alfalfa. Dietary and other lifestyle changes are important too. I found some nutritional supplements even more helpful, but as this is an herb list, will not discuss them here. mjh In a message dated 10/27/02 8:12:33 AM Eastern Standard Time, herbal remedies writes: >>>i have cronic pain brough on by arthritis and something called fybromaliga (sp) and a few other diseases but nothing life threatening jsut terrible pain. im on narcotics that dont help at all for the real bad pain but with out them i cant survive, because the lesser pain just kills me too with out them>>>
