Guest guest
Hi Kim, My suggestion would be to start using more fresh garlic, cayenne, take steam baths and most importantly, do a thorough body cleanse. Asthma is a condition where the bronchial tubes get plugged up with sticky mucus. It is a condition where the body is trying to cleanse itself. It is a response of the body to get rid of dirt, allergens, mucus, and whatever else. Cleansing the body, liver, bowels will do your asthma wonders. It will do more than all the meds you are taking for your asthma. This of course, is only my opinion. But definitely start taking cayenne and garlic and don't be skimpy on them either. Yeasts, such as Candida thrive in our blood. This is where they like to hide. Cleansing the blood and whole body will ensure your getting rid of them. Also, your body is too acid. This is why you get the infections. You need to rebalance or alkalinize your body. This means eating fruits and green leafy vegetables. Cut out the sugars, pastas, meats, sodas, coffee, teas, dairy, breads, etc. All these foods will make your body too acid and set you up for all sorts of diseases. You can cure yourself of asthma if you are willing to do the work. Everything you need is in the files that Doc has so graciously placed there. Good luck, your health belongs to you. Sometimes it gets so bad that I can't even eat. Now, I don't need to use this one particular inhaler all the time, but when I start to have a problem is when I really need it. You're supposed to rinse your mouth out with water after using it to prevent it (they know thrush is a problem associated with with this medication). But even with the rinsing, and brushing my teeth and tongue afterwards...I still get it. I'm not having the thrush problem right now, but I've started to use the inhaler again and I know problems are going to be immeninent (sp?)I bought a medicated mouthwash...made by colgate. It's some peroxide type mouthwash. It helps to a point. My last bout I began adding tea tree oil to the mouthwash. That also helped...a little. One more thing that I've tried was grapefruit seed extract...couple drops in water and gulp it down (YUCK) ...tastes like soap. I've read to get it to taste better you should add it to orange juice...which sorta defeats the purpose since you should avoid sugar with thrush. It's really depressing and I am getting to the point of not wanting to use my medication...which is not a good idea with my asthma. I don't even want to bring it to my doctor's attention cause it's so embarassing.Does anybody have any other suggestions on how to take care of it?Thanks a bunchKimFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Guest guest
I had the same problem when I used the steroid inhaler. I refuse to use it because a) I always would get thrush and b) I hate taking any kind of steroid. I had chronic bronchitis for 13 years with severe allergies and asthma. Many boutes with walking pneumonia. I was on $300/mo worth of medications. Out of control. I was living in Oregon which has horrible pollen and mold. I no longer take any meds except the occasional hit off the albuterol inhaler when things are bad but even that is rare. First I stopped taking the meds which were basically killing off my immune system. This was a difficult transition as I was very dependant on them. I searched for my triggers and either eliminated them (mold, pollen and hay) or minimized my exposure to them. Then I started drinking nettle tea which helps to desensitize your body to allergy triggers. Whenever I have bad allergies I chew on raw ginger which cuts the mucuus and helps to stop the histimine reaction...at least for me. I never tried mah juang as it would causes problems with my heart arrythmia. Nasal douches and saline/peppermint/ginger steam inhalations are very beneficial also. To counteract the thrush I took acidopholis pills or liquids. This seriously cut down the occurances and healing time. I am a big supporter of " friendly flora " . Takes care of a lot of my problems. Cut down on sugars, etc. Ashtma can be treated without lots of meds but you have to be vigilant. Hope this helps. Nate --- sirona71 <kims83 wrote: > Hi all...I have a problem. Guest guest
Acidophilus worked for me. My baby sister had this problem. Just make an acidophilus solution. It consists of water and powdered acidophilus. Make it to your consistency and wash out your mouth with it. sirona71 [kims83] Friday, September 27, 2002 4:56 PMherbal remedies Subject: [herbal remedies] Candida/ThrushHi all...I have a problem.
