Guest guest
Dear Ones, I haven't had much time to write so I would like to catch up. In regard to the ADD- One thing bothered me was that I had very little support from his teachers. The kid was hyper so I tried a no sugar approach and made him the best thief out of a prison at the ripe old age of 8. Teachers thought I was cruel and he worked on their sympathies. When he was being too busy he was restricted from recess makes lots of sense. At home I never made it a punishment but I would ask him how many summersaults can you do, pushups, sit ups? How fast can you run? Always were it was safe it kept him from getting into more dangerous things and it was a shared activity-- I counted lol, He had already exhausted me this was my break. Then we would read a book. Of course when daddy was home I would say do you know how many pushups your son can do ? Son usually told him sometimes when he was really small 5-6 he could only do 9 but with time he got better. Today he is 21 and maxes his PT test he is 6'3 and wt in at 193. For other reasons besides ADD he got his GED and joined the Army. When he was younger he was very oppositional argued with everyone at the drop of a hat. Today he and his brother are actually on speaking terms. They have gotten along better than I could have hoped for. So for those of you going thru all of this I wanted to give you hope. They will grow up but they are a challenge but God would never give you anything He didn't think you can handle especially with His help. When the going gets tough Pray!! In my case I did that a lot. The support of the entire family helps and today there are more alternatives at the grocery stores than there use to be you can get things without salt /sugar corn syrup etc but you still must read the label.Hope this helps. The other things were for high blood pressure is grapefruit pectin I take 2 twice a day. Ginkgo caused my mother in law heart problems but when she discontinued it the angina went away. no other problems. Happy trails Kim _______________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
Guest guest
Pet supply stores sell products that take out the smell....I bought one called Skunk kleen....insantly neutralizes skunk odor without covering it up...so it says. It worked on my dogs when they had a run in with a visiting skunk. It is nontoxic..may be sprayed directly into clothing carpets etc..so the label says...it is made by G.G.Bean,Inc... (207)-729-3708...they are in Brunswick,ME......I don,t have an ingredient list....you could call and ask. I just read in a magazine that using triclosan (in soaps, etc.) can lower thyroid function, and that the tests really don't measure lowered function very well. ~Amber I am not sure why it is left to sit for 12 hours and then reboiled and cooled for bottling. I am looking for my original recipe and will post when I find it. As to Kelp and Dulse - see the attachment. Suggest you do a search on the internet for more info - also do a search on Thyroid. I am for alternative natural methods of curing illness BUT I believe doctors are needed to do a proper diagnosis of some health problem. Happily they are getting better training today and are including alternative methods and even herbs in some cases. Hope this helps [This message contained attachments] ______________________ ______________________ Message: 2 Sun, 05 Feb 2006 14:30:06 -0000 " poodiejoe " <poodiejoe A Mother's CFS Story Inside story: chronic fatigue syndrome A child with learning problems helped Rachel Anderson cope when her two other sons became disabled. Ina all the years I have read about Essiac tea I have never run across the extra four herbs you mentioned as part of the original formula but thanks to Barb's contribution of http://essiac-info.org/recipe1.html , one of the links led me to this. > > http://essiac-info.org/lecture.html#consider > > Around 1926, Rene started eliminating the extra herbs of the original eight-herb recipe (red clover went first because of the protein content). She reduced the formula to her four Essiac herbs and thereafter, the only herb Rene Caisse always harvested herself was Sheep sorrel, buying the other herbs whenever possible. Rene dried the Sheep sorrel on the floor of her house. > > Good going for sticking to your guns but it does appear that it was Rene herself that eliminated the extra four herbs from the original recipe. > > My hat's off to you Kat for your perseverance, > > Harvey Thanks Harvey. I just have never found either Dr. Frank to be wrong in the information they have given us, and that is why I always stick with what I am told by them, and I try to research to find the information to back it up. By the way, the link http://essiac-info.org/lecture.html#consider brought up an error and I wondered if there was an error in the URL. Also, if you suspect one may have entered via your ear canal, simply place a few drops of olive oil in your ear.
