Guest guest
In chinese medicine it is called liver wind. It can be treated with herbs fairly easily depending on a full diagnosis. But usually it is caused by the emotions causing the yin energy to be consumed, so if we nourish this with cooling herbs that are directed to the liver and eyes we can see much positive effect. Generally these formulas will contain chrysanthumum flower (Ju Hua). This can be taken singly as well with some positive effect, assuming that my guess of liver wind from yin defiency is correct. bob --- istarbella <ishtarbella wrote: > Hi All,I thought Id mention i get this eye twitch > going on on my left > eye.Ive had it before and It comes and goes But its > been bothering > me again.I notice as well it occuring IF i have any > anxious thoguhts > as well but Its not limited to that.anyone else have > this?Maybe > nerves? > > Thanks,Esther > > News - Today's headlines http://news. Guest guest
Forgot to say chrysanthemum flower makes a tasty tea when used alone. also interesting; external opening of the liver in TCM is the eye. that is why we often see the eye twitching or red eyes when the liver is effected. Also the leg twitching is wind but not always related to liver (but often times) Liver controls the tendons, so again may be the reason and emotions often times effect liver. Chrysanthemum may not have the same positive effect on the leg twitching as the eye twitching (but perhaps some). Leg twitching often requires a more detailed diagnosis and usually a combo of acupuncture and herbs. these have great success, I have treated 3 cases personally all with total stopping of the twitching. bob --- Bob Linde <bob_and_robin wrote: > In chinese medicine it is called liver wind. Guest guest
I have had that and it usually responds to taking large doses of calcium/magnesium supplements (1000mg/500mg) 2 or 3 times per day. Guest guest
Many cases of twitching are related to mineral deficiencies. So are cases of sudden muscle cramps at night. Specifically, calcium, magnesium, and potassium are the most important relating to the involuntary nerves. Lots of people need to be taking mineral supplements. The commerical calcium pills are worse than worthless. It usually takes some experimentation to find a brand that works for you. Generally, calcium needs to be in a ratio of about 3 to 1 in relation to magnesium. There should also be potassium, manganese, boron, and several other minerals present in very small amounts. I used to take several advil to help the muscles relax. (I don't take advil anymore.) I do think for me it starts in the nerves. There is a recipe for a nerve formula in the files. I have not tried it yet, but maybe that would help you. Good luck. >Doodles > istarbella wrote:Hi All,I thought Id mention i get this eye twitch going on on my left >eye.Ive had it before and It comes and goes But its been bothering >me again.I notice as well it occuring IF i have any anxious thoguhts >as well but Its not limited to that.anyone else have this?Maybe >nerves? > Thanks,Esther -- Michael Riversong ** Professional Harpist, Educator, and Writer ** RivEdu ** Phone: (307)635-0900 FAX (413)691-0399 http://home.earthlink.net/~rivedu -- Educational Site
