Laura, this is the kind of thing people like me want to hear...what simple thing has fixed someone's problem. I'm so thankful you posted about the garlic. I have tried sliced garlic on a huge skin tag, and all that happened was that the skin tag got mad. LOL!!!!

[herbal remedies] Re: Boils & garlie

About 15 years ago, I was lying in bed and noticed what I though was a boil or bug bite on my upper thigh and thought, "Hum, that's been around awhile." A few days later, I happened to lay my hand on my groin above that bit and noticed the lymph nodes were noticably sore and swollen and tender to the touch. No other symptom. I went to the Dr immediately as the symptom was so bizzare. He couldn't figure it out. From then on, I developed a fever that got progressively higher, over 103 for the next two weeks. I went to the emergency room; had blood work ups, nothing. Finally, I said the heck with this and put a clove of garlic on it. In retrospect, that was too extreme; today, I would use garlic mashed in olive oil and left to sit for 8 hours. The garlic burned and left scaring, but the boil or whatever it was turned black and dropped off; the fever disappeared with it.

FYI Elaine, you didn't say how long you put the garlic slab on the skin

tag...but when I did mine, it " got mad " after a few days, and then after a

few more days (for about a total of six) it fell off. So it might have

been working! (Or it might have just been mad. ;) ST
