Guest guest
I don't know if garlic will draw as with boils you are wanting to get the toxins out of the body so would use a drawing herb. Make a poultice of slippery elm and add some black walnut to it. This should do the trick of drawing the gook out. Don - mrsboston_322002 herbal remedies Tuesday, September 03, 2002 8:27 AM [herbal remedies] The Garlic Slab and Boils - Sara T I have a few boils (one really huge one) and was wondering if the garlic slab on a bandage will help. I think they're popping out because of the Chinese medicine herbs I was taking, they were EXTREMELY detoxifying.LOL The huge one has already busted and drained on it's own, but I can still feel some hardness underneath. I just want to make sure that the skin doesn't heal until all the puss is drained and it is WAY to painful to squeeze it out. LOL Thanks.Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Guest guest
The Garlic Slab Cure is specifically for growths, not pustules like boils. However, I have a tincture I use for boils that works miracles (if you ask my family members who get them; I generally don't). It's equal parts echinacea, garlic and marshmallow root. A plain old echinacea tincture would probably help greatly in a pinch, but I use the formula I do because the garlic helps it work *fast* and the marshmallow makes it slightly gentler on your skin. Everybody I've given it to says their boils were gone in a day, two at the outside. Be warned, if you do make this tincture, it stinks to holy hell. Luck to you, ST >I have a few boils (one really huge one) and was wondering if the >garlic slab on a bandage will help. Guest guest
Hi Sara, Is this an alcohol tincture? I have a family member who is plagued by boils and has so far, found no relief. Guest guest
Dear Stevie, Yes, this would be an alcohol tincture. However, boils are almost always an indicator of "nutrition" problems, in fact I haven't run into a case where it wasn't. I'd be willing to bet that your "family member" eats either a lot of white sugar or a lot of grain products. Guest guest
Really? Wow. I'm developing one right now. I always thought it was the glands getting rid of something in the body? Don't take white sugar so must be grain Lisa - Dr. Ian Shillington herbal remedies Friday, September 06, 2002 8:51 PM Re: [herbal remedies] The Garlic Slab and Boils - Sara T Dear Stevie, Yes, this would be an alcohol tincture. Guest guest
Thanks for the information, Doc! Yes, she does eat a lot of grain and sugars. I will pass on this to her. I've been trying to get her to eat more wholesome foods ie: greater amounts of veggies and fruits etc. but now, perhaps she'll listen. :} Regards, Stevie > Yes, this would be an alcohol tincture.
