About 5 years ago, I stuck my left index finger with a thorn while pulling weeds. I pulled it out and continued weeding. A few days later, the area started to itch and broke out in a rash. Then it dried up and became very painful. Eventually, it cleared up. Then it came out again in a different area of that finger. This continued, going up and down each finger and eventually into the palm of my left hand. Over time, it has affected each finger, but always in just one area at a time. About a year ago, the whole thing went away. Just recently, it has come back and is affecting all the fingers of my left hand. It has never gone anywhere else but right now my fingers are so sore I can barely type. It is always aggravated by peeling potatoes, tomatoes, etc. I have used all sorts of things on it but nothing seems to help. At the time when it went away, I had just started taking Essiac. I thought that was what cured it. But I am still taking it and now it is worse than ever. Any suggestions?

This is very weird. What type of plant was the thorn from? That's an

important question. What region do you live in? That's another question,

because there are some diseases that are associated with certain places.

Condolences to you on your loss. That's always hard.

Chronically low iron is a tough one. I don't think anyone has built solid

correlations between that and any particular condition, although back in the

1950's it was believed that heavy iron supplementation would combat fatigue

associated with aging. Lawrence Welk's music show was sponsored by Geritol

for many years, and the main ingredient of that was a form of iron -- believe

it was the gluconate, which has since been proven ineffective and a cause of

constipation in some people.

We're always better off getting iron from foods, particularly spinach. If

you're one of those rare people who can handle eating liver, enjoy! You're

better than i am. I don't even like being in the same room with the stuff.

What's your blood type? That info may help.

Hi Chris,

I have iron deficiency at the moment, and Doc told me to take Panther Piss -

see files - plus 800iu Vit E per day ( iron supplementation destroys Vit E

in the body, so you need to replace it). He said I need to take it for about

a year to replace the used stores.
