Guest guest
Goldenseal/Comfrey Salve 1 cup olive oil 1/2 oz. powdered comfrey root 1/2 oz. powdered goldenseal root 1 oz. beeswax 3 vitamin E gelcaps - 400 IU each (or equivalent liquid E) Combine oil with comfrey and goldenseal in a stainless steel pot. Place in 200 degree oven for 3 hours. Strain through cheesecloth. Put back into pot and heat. Add beeswax and heat until melted over low heat. Do not allow the wax to burn. Puncture the gelcaps and squeeze the contents into the mixture. Pour into glass container(s). When it cools, it should be a light green color and is ready to use. I make this in larger batches and put it in 1.5 oz jars. It has been used successfully in treating all kinds of things such as acne, insect bites, cuts, bruises, fever blisters, chapped lips, and the list goes on. Hope this helps.
