Guest guest
Hi, I am hearing that herbal treatments for candida only work temporarily then the yeast is back worse than ever. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge about that? Thanks, Slvr --This has not been my experience. The reason certain herbs don't work is usually because either A. The person isn't dealing with candida even though *candida symptoms* are present B. The wrong herb is being used Oh wait...I think I understand what you're referring to. Ok. To ensure that a resistancy issues doesn't occur, ALWAYS rotate your herbs. For example, if you're using a combination of uva ursi, tanalbit, and oregano oil do not take them all together at the same time. Take uva ursi for five days, tanalbit for five days, and then oregano oil for the next five...and so forth. There are hundreds of forms of candida and each one requires different formulas. It's a tricky endeavor to self-diagnose. Rather than dong that, I suggest having some stool tests performed to pinpoint which bugs you're dealing with. It'll save you lots of wasted time and money. Good luck! Erica Health - Feel better, live better http://health.
Guest guest
Dear Slvr, This is not true, verified by the large number of my patients, who in following my advice, have permanently healed themselves of the condition. There is nothing esoteric about Candida in all its different forms, and most of them can be handled by doing the Total Body Cleanse as in the files. One does not use herbs the same way the MDs use pharmaceuticals. You don't just treat a particular disease using a certain herb. It doesn't work that way even though certain herbs are specific for certain diseases if you can see the difference here. Let me give you an example: Let say you have a headache. Welllll, Aspirin (or a stronger pharmaceutical) will get rid of it (the symptom's gone), and so will herb White Willow Bark. The problem in using the pharmaceutical or the herb in this case is that the "CAUSE" of the headache has not been addressed and it'll come back in a short while. The symptom has been handled but the "CAUSE" has not. Get the idea??? Most headaches, believe it or not, are caused by bowel problems = 80% of 'em. The same goes for candida. Most candida is caused by enzyme deficiencies and / or imbalances brought about by the enzyme inhibitors found in un-sprouted grains, seeds, nuts and beans. If you don't correct your diet, you can take herbs till the cows come home and your candida will come back even though you might get temporary relief (symptomatic relief) by a certain herbal preparations. Just the simple fact of sprouting your grains, seeds, nuts, and beans can go a long way to handle the condition. Using this with an herbal regimen (such as the Total Body Cleanse), and you can knock out the condition permanently. There is not one herb in the Total Body Cleanse which can hurt you unless you abuse them such as the Echinacea. You have to take a break from Echinacea, but you can take the rest for long periods of time with no damage whatsoever. It's always good to have a support team (such as the members on this list), so that you can ask for advice, but only when you feel you need it. Best is to educate yourself as thoroughly as you can so that you "KNOW". Then again, that's why you're here. Right??? ;o) Love, Doc Dr. Ian Shillington505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - erica feldman herbal remedies Sunday, August 04, 2002 9:38 AM [herbal remedies] Re: candida with herbs Hi,I am hearing that herbal treatments for candida only work temporarily then the yeast is back worse than ever. Guest guest
Chinese medicine has had very good results with candida. but there is no one formula of herbs that I can recommnend since it depends on the person. Of course diet is the one thing that is most important once you get the yeast overgrowth under control. Basically sugar is the key. get rid of it. bob --- erica feldman <hlthgrl5275 wrote: > Hi, > > I am hearing that herbal treatments for candida only > work temporarily > then > the yeast is back worse than ever.
