Guest guest
I just wanted to share something that has worked. Water. Yes, as simple as it sounds it has helped both my mother and I enormously. My mom used to take Buspar and Respiridol. Now she no longer is on Buspar and her Resperidol dosage is constantly being lowered (weened off). I too suffered anxiety and was under a lot of stress and had insomnia. I was so anxious at times that I couldn't concentrate on simple daily tasks. My " to do " lists got longer and more overwhelming day to day. This is when someone suggested water therapy. Now neither my mother nor I had the $$$ to go soak in a tank everyday lol, so we decided to join a local Y instead. We now do a combination of whirlpool, swimming, long baths and showers using massage heads. We now sleep like babies, I've even been lucky enough to have my childhood lucid sleep/dreaming return. It's wonderful. I would definitely suggest trying water therapy (in the tank) to anyone who can afford it, but to those who can't, the above things work great for us. Maybe even a combination of both. Mind you, this wasn't/isn't a cure-all for us, but it has given us back a sense of peace, calmness and more clarity of mind. :-)
