Hello there! I have been looking after my little brother and he has

just sprained his ankle really badly. It is bruised from the sole of

his foot to half way up his calf, and really swollen. I was wondering

if there are any options for treatment, other than ice, and arnica

cream. I feel horrible for him, he is in a lot of pain!

Thank you!

Try playing some Flamenco recordings for him. This may seem off the wall,

but i've seen it work in many cases. Just ordinary Flamenco music will do,

like Rene' Heredia or Guillermo Salazar.

Also the arnica cream can be alternated with Tiger Balm, since there is

bruising. The Tiger Balm is very aromatic and warming. It increases

circulation to the area, thus removing bruise blood faster. It is always

best to make sure the area with Tiger Balm is wrapped with a soft cloth

after application -- that makes it more effective.

Dear Christie,

You can also use the homeopathic Arnica pills, which are excellent First Aid

with any soft tissue damage.

Get at least a 30c concentration, and give him one every hour, or even every

half hour for the first day.
