Oregano was helping the cold sore then he got sun poisoning on top of this now lip is swollen, cracked and painful. Skin Cancer is a big problem here in Australia. Ive had half a dozen removed over the years and im only 36 years young. Dad had a couple removed from his lips when he was still upright. whilst this is a herbal list i do believe that with any unidentified skin leasion it should be looked at by someone with training in what to look for.Im not saying to persue thier recommended treatment but the diagnosis can sometimes be life saving.Sorry Doc if i have annoyed anyone by recommeding a medical doctor but thousands die every year from skin cancer and most of those people have been looking at the thing untill its too late. It was difficult, but we put some horrible-tasting balm on it for several days. It was the Turtle Island Shotgun Salve, which is based on Golden Seal. It hurt for a long time even after the basic sore went down, but she was all right eventually. I suspect the Oregano Oil is making things worse in this case. It is a bit heavy for this type of job.
