Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I really appreciate that this list exists! I haven't used doctors in almost ten years but have studied alot of information about using herbs, aromatherapy, etc. I am currently interested in finding out if there are herbal remedies for treating planters warts....specifically those on the bottom of your feet that are covered over with heavy callous. I have a friend who is afflicted with this malady on BOTH feet. He loves to have fun, involves himself constantly in sports....he claims he's been told by doctors that in order to remove these warts he'll need surgery and that he'll be crippled and unable to walk for a lenghty period of time. So tell me, if anyone is inspired and has wisdom on this topic, if there are any herbal remedies available? Thanks so much for your time Goddess (always in process)
Guest guest
I am also hoping to find information on wart remedies, only this is a wart on my sons finger. Is there a cure that will be safe for him (and hopefully non toxic, just in case he gets it in his mind to strip off the bandaid and stick his fingers in his mouth?? He's only 2. Guest guest
I'm new to the list but for planter's worts we use Tea Tree essential oil ... use it Neat (meaning, straight, do not dilute it). A drop on the wort 2 times a day should do it. Another thing that might work is Lemon essential oil. A few drops on a cotton ball dabbed onto the wort a couple of times per day. This method isn't recommened near the face or on the neck. After either of these treatments, if the skin is very dry, massage the skin with a little calendula infused oil. Hope that helps, Arianna Moon - goddessreb herbal remedies Tuesday, July 30, 2002 4:54 PM [herbal remedies] Planters Wart Remedies? Hi Everyone, I really appreciate that this list exists! Guest guest
This may sound funny but my oldest daughter suffered from Planter's warts and she put a banana peel on her foor at night and the wart cleared up with days. The doctor had scheduled her for surgery to have it removed and about a week before the surgery we took her back and he was amazed. We would put the banana peel on her foot - inside of the peel onto the wart and then secured it with medical tape and covered it with a clean sock -. I hope this helps your friend ... Guest guest
My son put Vitamin E on his in am and before bed and in about a month they peeled right off. Of course he was a kid and had no calluses. I hear aloe vera is good too. Maureen goddessreb wrote: > > Hi Everyone, > > I really appreciate that this list exists! Messages # 19939 thru 19947. You have to read them - it had to do with banana peels, etc. but it worked. Suzi Suzi goddessreb wrote: Hi Everyone, I really appreciate that this list exists! Wow wee guys, I'm overwhelmed with appreciation for all these suggestions.....thank you so much! One question remains. Will the banana peels work if there is alot of callous surrounding the planters wart??? I guess trying it would answer that question. I'll suggest it.........but this guy hahaha, is super macho : ) Can you imagine?? Thanks again Goddess
Guest guest
I know others have recommended the bananna peel and this REALLY works! My son had horrible planters warts on the balls of both of his feet, I mean big colonies of them. They were frozen twice and we used all sorts of otc remedies to no avail. We had gone to a surgeon to have them lasered off and they would have had to put him under a general anesthesia which I was not comfortable with since my son was only 6 or so. In 2 weeks of bananna peels on his feet they were all gone and have not returned. It is cheap, quick and extrememly effective, non-toxic. I have recommended this to lots of people with excellent results. I hope it works. herbal remedies, Suzanne Nottmeier <suziesgoats> wrote: > > There wa s a big discussion on warts back in I think April... check the messages. Guest guest
Remedies against warts have generally been considered unreliable. They are viral, and i have observed that viruses are susceptible to a person's state of mind. But in our society, most people are going to end up agitated a lot of the time, so viruses will have their fun. One thing worth trying, if it's possible, is to get fresh yarrow leaves and put them inside the socks every day for a few days. That might work -- yarrow is one of the most potent anti-viral medicines around. But it is likely that only the fresh leaves would work, which means your friend would have to live somewhere that it grows. Guest guest
The bananna does not seem to have to be over ripe. I used fresh (store fresh that is) and just kept what I didn't use in the fridge wrapped in plastic. My sons feet were calloused and hard as a rock when we started. We cut a piece of peel to size and taped it on, flesh side against the wart, with a gauze pad and tape. We only did it at night as he didn't want to squish around all day on it, could get kinda gross. I have read where you should keep it on all day and change it every couple of hours or so. Maybe it will disolve them or whatever quicker that way. Took us two weeks to be rid of them. That was over 3 years ago and we have not seen any since. I am told this is a virus and you can't cure it, but we seem to be rid of ours. Good luck!
