Guest guest
I've tried the olive oil thing... That's usually the method I use too w/anything I use on her scalp...to massage it in awhile before bath. I have also tried doing so and letting it 'sit' on her head overnite. So far, I have tried olive oil, almond oil, evening primrose oil, tea tree oil, thuja (homeopathic) both internally and externally, calendula, Aveda balancing infusion for scalp....those all come to mind offhand. Any of those will loosen up the scales for easy removal. What I'm searching for though is a cure. Thanx!

In my family it is common and it coincides with allergies. Before bath time apply some olive oil with your fingers, being careful not to have it run into baby's eyes. Rub it gently into the scalp, the dry scaley part will take it in quickly. My baby also had this. After bathing I used to just add a couple of drops of mineral oil onto his scalp and rub...it helped alot. LostFaith2002
Guest guest
Hello, According to Adele Davis' book Let's Have Healthy Children, " Cradle Cap probably occurs only when an infant's requirement for Vitamin B6 is unusually high. " I know whenever my son had it, I usually increased his daily (multi) vitamin dosage, and that handled it quite rapidly, whereas only using oil did improve but not relieve the condition. Hope this helps.
