Does anyone know anything that can help me with an ear infection? I get ear infections constantly...sometimes 2-3x a month. They are very painful, and it seems that nothing makes them go away...forever. Lately, I even think that I am having problems hearing, but it may just be the swelling in the ear canal... Any suggestions?

I tried to make strong yarrow tea. and put few drops in each ear while is still warm.

My doctor also told me to put 3 drops of alcohol and 3 drops of white vinigar and mix well. Put 3 drops of this mix in each ear.

For an effective short term fix, you can try hydrogen peroxide in your

ears -- http://www.mercola.com/2002/mar/13/hydrogen_peroxide.htm

But if you are interested in fixing the cause... some doctors (Dr. Stoll

at http://www.askwaltstollmd.com is one of them) say that ear infections

go away when you avoid dairy and/or wheat. I think you may find this

message thread interesting:

LostFaith2002Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any natural remedy. 3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physician and toprescribe for your own health. We are not medical doctors although MDs are welcome to post here as long as they behave themselves. Any opinions put forth by the list members are exactly that, and any person following the advice of anyone posting here does so at their own risk. It is up to you to educate yourself. When something is chronic like this, always look at your diet. There may be

one commonly eaten food that is undermining you. When the immune system is

temporarily depressed by a food, it will usually hit one area of the body

consistently that is for some reason weak. This kind of weakness is

sometimes not directly repairable, since it may be the result of a birth

defect. There are many birth defects that are not readily apparent. For

example, i have a couple of tendons missing in my legs, and can't ever sit

comfortably on the ground. These things happen to lots of people.

When having to treat a painful ear infection, the things that i've found

work the best are megadoses of Vitamin C (up to 12 grams a day!) and Golden

Seal capsules every other day. One company, Nutrina (hope that's still

their name) has an excellent Golden Seal/Feverfew combination that i've used

with great success.

I'm gonna look up Nutrina on the web now, and post a correction if necessary.
