Guest guest
$00.02: No herb or medication whatsoever is going to " make " you relax. *You* need to relax, not take a substance to slow you down. Otherwise you might as well be holding the brakes while pressing the gas pedal to the floor, for all the good it'll do. I imagine if you have the patience to try all these different remedies, you've at least got the capacity to learn the patience for meditation or some other relaxation technique. Many of them only take a few minutes anyway. My father is a type A work nut. He takes Xanax to " relax " . So he has two modes: In high gear, or in high gear while trailing a parachute. He may slow down, but the engine is always running just as hard; his precious medication isn't really doing him any good. Herbs may be less jarring to your system than chemical medications, but they're no more a substitute for actual relaxation, which it sounds to me like you desperately need. Take care, Sara T. >Thanks for the links, Roman. I've tried to meditate in the past, but I just don't have the patience for it. I used to use Kava and it lives up to all it's claims, but it would often make me too drowsy. I now use Scullcap and find it to be even better for relaxation and insomnia. Scullcap deserves more attention from the alternative med community. > > > >Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: >1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. >2.
